Improved Kidney Oxygenation
The study used an advanced MRI technique to monitor changes in kidney oxygen levels. Remarkably, just one day after starting treatment with canagliflozin, patients showed significant improvements in oxygenation. This suggests the drug doesn’t only remove excess sugar through urine but may also enhance the kidneys’ ability to function effectively.
